Yum China Posts Strong Q2 Earnings and Announces Quarterly Dividend
Yum China reported second‑quarter earnings of $0.70 per share, beating the consensus estimate of $0.67, and revenue of $3.14 billion, up 13% year‑over‑year and above analysts’ $3.05 billion forecast. The company declared a quarterly dividend of $0.075 per share, with an ex‑dividend date of August 27 and payment scheduled for September 17, representing an annualized yield of about 0.6%.
Institutional investors also adjusted their holdings. Empowered Funds LLC increased its stake by 13,253.7% in the first quarter, bringing its ownership to 0.07% of Yum China (about $11.2 million). Other hedge funds such as Principal Financial Group, Massachusetts Financial Services, Mondrian Investment Partners, Teachers Retirement System of Kentucky and M&T Bank Corp reported changes in their positions during the previous quarter.
