Yuma County Opens Free South Transfer Station for Residents

Yuma County, Arizona, held an official ribbon‑cutting ceremony for the new South Transfer Station. The facility provides a free, residential‑only option for solid‑waste disposal, aiming to improve waste management and protect the environment.

Located at 5563 W. County 19th Street near Somerton, the station will begin operations the following day. It will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and will not accept commercial waste.
