Yuma man arrested for murder of missing Arizona teenager

A Yuma man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 15-year-old girl from San Luis, Arizona. The victim's body was discovered on June 1 near South Adams Avenue and East Tera Lane.

Authorities identified 52-year-old Mark Spadt as the suspect following an extensive investigation involving the Yuma County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the U.S. Border Patrol. Spadt was apprehended in the area of S. Avenue 12E and W. 36th Place.

Spadt has been booked into the Yuma County Detention Center. He faces charges including first-degree murder, two counts of sexual conduct with a minor, custodial interference, and evidence tampering. The investigation remains ongoing.
