Yume Group collaborates with Resident Evil for film promotion

The official promotional campaign for the new Resident Evil film has released a collaboration video featuring the Japanese mail-order company Yume Group. The video utilizes the company’s signature television shopping style, featuring President Shigehiro Ishida and singer Yuri Hoshina.

In the video, Ishida and Hoshina promote the film’s thrills and the availability of online advance tickets (Mubichike) priced at 1,700 yen. The marketing uses the company’s characteristic upbeat dialogue to contrast with the horror elements of the film, with Ishida remarking, “Dreams are dreams, but this is a nightmare.”

The upcoming Resident Evil film is a completely new entry directed by Zach Cregger. It follows a delivery driver named Brian as he attempts to survive a terrifying night in Raccoon City. The film is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release in Japan on October 9.
