Yuna Nishimura wins first LPGA title ahead of Hawaii tournament

Yuna Nishimura secured her first LPGA Tour victory at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, finishing with a total of 21-under par. Known for her precision iron play rather than distance, Nishimura overcame a recent slump in form to win by five strokes. This victory significantly boosts her standing, moving her from 103rd to 36th in the season-long points rankings and securing her eligibility for the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship.

Following her win, Nishimura and 13 other Japanese players are set to compete in the Lotte Championship at the Hualalai Golf Course in Hawaii. The tournament features a full field of 120 players, including defending champion Hwang You-min. The upcoming series of events in Hawaii and China marks a busy period for the Japanese contingent on the LPGA Tour.
