Yungblud pushes back on industry‑plant claims while expanding affordable Bludfest to Czechia

Musician Yungblud, frontman Dominic Harrison, rebutted accusations that he is an "industry plant," emphasizing that while he has long‑standing label support and professional management, his career was built publicly over several years through touring, releases and fan engagement. He argued that industry backing does not equate to hidden manufacture.

At the same time, Yungblud reported that his own music festival, Bludfest, has grown sharply. Launched in 2024, the event aims to offer low‑cost tickets and showcase emerging artists. In its first international edition held in Czechia, the festival provided 20 bands for €100 and three nights of camping. Harrison said the festival “exceeded my expectations,” and expressed hope that the model could be replicated in other countries to give artists more control over pricing and increase accessibility to live music.
