Yunlin County honors outstanding household registration teams

The Yunlin County Government held the ‘115th Household Registration Day Commendation Ceremony’ to recognize outstanding administrative teams and volunteers. County Magistrate Chang Li-shan honored the Mailiao, Douliu, and Huwei household registration offices for their service excellence. Notably, the Mailiao office was recognized as a ‘Ministry of the Interior Outstanding Household Registration Office.’

During the event, 22 outstanding personnel and 18 volunteers were commended for their contributions to public service. The county government highlighted its commitment to resident welfare, including the establishment of service windows specifically for new immigrants to provide counseling and integration assistance.

To address demographic challenges, Yunlin County has implemented measures to promote marriage and childbirth. Since 2023, the county has organized matchmaking events with a success rate exceeding 50%. These efforts, combined with increased post-birth subsidies and childcare support, have contributed to a visible increase in local marriage and fertility rates.
