Yunlin County launches 2026 esports festival and community PK competition

The Yunlin County Government announced the 2026 Yunlin eSports Party, scheduled for September 19‑20 at the Yunlin County Sports Center. The two‑day event features a League of Legends random‑team mode tournament, a Just Dance competition, arcade and sports‑game zones, and prize draws offering items such as an Apple Watch, Nintendo Switch 2 and an iPad. County mayor Zhang Lishan highlighted the festival’s aim to promote eSports for all ages, including family and senior groups.

On September 25 the county also hosted the 17th Yunlin County Community PK Competition at the same sports venue, drawing 40 local communities. Participants displayed 51 community‑development projects across six categories, ranging from green space revitalisation to youth‑led planning. The competition recognised achievements in sustainability, low‑carbon design and disaster‑resilience, with the mayor noting the programme’s role in fostering community cohesion and long‑term environmental improvements.
