Yunlin County launches AI-powered home acute care platform

Yunlin County has officially launched a smart home acute care information platform designed to improve medical services in remote and underserved areas. The platform integrates cross-hospital handovers, laboratory data, vital signs, and visit records to create a comprehensive medical network.

Key features include AI voice recognition with approximately 90 percent accuracy, which converts care details into medical records and automatically fills up to 28 care fields. This technology is expected to save medical staff roughly 20 minutes of data organization per case, reducing administrative burdens. The system also facilitates “four-party real-time communication,” allowing home care teams, specialist doctors, and remote family members to participate in medical discussions via video link.

To address data privacy concerns, the platform has obtained ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and ISO 27018 certifications for information security and privacy management. County officials stated that the initiative aims to mitigate emergency room congestion and bed shortages by providing robust medical support directly within patients' homes.
