Yunlin County officials inspect Douliu City development projects

Yunlin County Magistrate Chang Li-shan led a government inspection in Douliu City to review various local development and social welfare initiatives. The tour included visits to the Douliu Sugar Factory Bamboo Creative Base, where cultural revitalization and space activation are being used to drive tourism and encourage youth to return to the region.

Key policy announcements included advancements in smart transportation and railway elevation projects. Regarding elderly care, the county government announced that, pending budget approval and council review, it will fully cover national health insurance premiums for residents aged 65 and older starting next year. The inspection also covered social welfare facilities, water management projects, and the transformation of local schools into technology-focused experimental institutions.
