Yunlin Towel Carnival opens in Taipei to promote local industry

The '2026 Towel Joy Summer: Yunlin Towel Carnival' officially opened at the Taipei Expo Park in Yuanshan. Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an, Yunlin County Magistrate Chang Li-shan, and Legislator Chang Chia-chun attended the opening ceremony to promote Yunlin's local industries to the capital's market.

Legislator Chang Chia-chun emphasized that the event aims to showcase the craftsmanship and brand charm of Yunlin's towel industry, moving beyond simple sales to integrated brand marketing involving design and cross-sector cooperation. Mayor Chiang noted that Taipei serves as a vital consumer market and a stage for regional specialties. He highlighted the city's ongoing support for Yunlin's agricultural products, such as peanuts and dairy, noting that the procurement of Yunlin peanut dumplings by the Taipei Agricultural Products Marketing Corporation has increased nearly sixfold during his term.

Chiang also mentioned that Yunlin towels are frequently used in major Taipei events, including the Taipei Marathon. He expressed a desire to continue deepening cooperation between Taipei and Yunlin in areas such as urban marketing, tourism, and specialty product distribution.
