Yunus Konak joins Lincoln City on season-long loan from Brentford

Lincoln City has completed a season-long loan deal for 20-year-old midfielder Yunus Konak from Brentford. The move follows Konak signing a new five-year contract with Brentford, which includes an option for an additional year.

Lincoln City Sporting Director Jez George identified Konak as the club’s primary transfer target throughout the summer. George noted that the Turkish midfielder’s defensive attributes and out-of-possession play align with the team’s tactical model. Konak, who previously spent time on loan at Oxford United, expressed excitement about joining the club and contributing to a successful season.

Brentford officials indicated that the decision to extend Konak’s contract before his loan move demonstrates the club’s long-term belief in his potential to play regularly for them in the future.
