During his two-year tenure as interim coordinator, Tanko oversaw the expansion of the movement's organizational structure to include all 36 Nigerian states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Dr. Moses Paul, also known as Dr Mo, has been appointed as the new National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement. Paul, an Abuja-based activist and entrepreneur, succeeds Tanko following a virtual meeting of movement leaders and Peter Obi on September 30, 2026.
