Yunusemre district hosts Manisa municipal commissions for heritage and tourism tour

Members of two Manisa Metropolitan Municipality commissions visited Yunusemre district at the invitation of the local authority. Led by Yunusemre Mayor Semih Balaban, the delegation first met the mayor and viewed a short promotional film about the district.

The group, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Emine Özge Arslan and Tourism Officer Nuray Çevirmeci, toured the archaeological site of Aigai Ancient City and then the Manisa Ottoman Museum in the district’s Culture Park. They also stopped at the municipal lavender garden, where they were served regional specialties such as Mesirli Kazandibi. Throughout the program, commission members examined the historic structures, cultural artifacts and natural attractions, assessing Yunusemre’s potential for increased tourism and heritage promotion.

The visits were intended to deepen the officials’ understanding of the district’s cultural assets and to discuss possible initiatives to boost its visibility and visitor numbers.
