Yunusemre social facility converted into vocational training center

A social facility in the Yunusemre district of Manisa, which had remained unused for approximately 10 years, has been converted into a vocational training center. Located in the courtyard of the Şekerci Hüseyin Dede Mosque in the Güzelyurt neighborhood, the facility was repurposed through the initiative of Neighborhood Head Aynur Tava and with the approval of the Yunusemre District Mufti.

In collaboration with the Yunusemre Public Education Center, the facility hosts sewing and embroidery courses. During the previous year, 150 women received training. In the current new term, 40 women are enrolled in two separate groups, receiving daily instruction in sewing, embroidery, and tailoring.

The program aims to enhance professional skills and foster social solidarity among participants. Some trainees have progressed to journeyman and master proficiency exams, with one participant preparing to open her own tailor shop.
