Yuri Alberto nears return for Corinthians against Internacional

Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto has progressed in his recovery from a right thigh injury and may return for the upcoming match against Internacional on October 7. After being sidelined for 13 matches due to a fibrosis issue, the player has begun physical transition training at the Joaquim Grava training center.

Dr. Ricardo Galotti, head of the Corinthians medical department, confirmed that the player is clinically pain-free. Alberto is the team's top scorer this season with eight goals. Additionally, defender Gabriel Paulista is also recovering from a knee ligament strain and is expected to be available for the match.

The return of these players is critical as Corinthians struggles in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, currently sitting in 14th place and facing a period of crisis following several consecutive defeats.
