Yuri Oliveira wins KL 9 kickboxing title in Mexico

Brazilian kickboxer Yuri Oliveira, 25, won the Kreiger League 9 (KL 9) championship in the under 70 kg category. The match took place on August 29 in Atizapán de Zaragoza, Mexico.

Representing the Vitória Fighter team, Oliveira secured a unanimous decision victory after five rounds against Mexican fighter “El Pitufo” Yanez. The victory occurred in the opponent's home territory.

Yuri Oliveira is the son of grandmaster and nine-time world champion Laécio Nunes. Following the bout, Nunes was honored by KL 9 organizer Jaime Aparicio and received a franchise belt.
