Yuri Romano joins Projekt Warszawa from Russia

Italian volleyball star Yuri Romano has signed with Projekt Warszawa, marking a move from the Russian club Fakieł Nowy Urengoj to the Polish Tauron Liga. Romano, a two-time world champion and European champion with the Italian national team, noted that the high level of competition and the atmosphere in Polish arenas influenced his decision.

In an interview, Romano revealed that a goal scored by footballer Piotr Zieliński during an Inter Milan match served as a personal sign that helped him finalize his transfer to the Warsaw-based club. Having previously played in Russia for one season, Romano expressed enthusiasm for playing in Poland, citing positive past experiences while competing against the Polish national team.
