Yuri Yoshida wins first LPGA title at BMW Ladies Championship

Japanese professional golfer Yuri Yoshida secured her first LPGA Tour victory at the BMW Ladies Championship held at Pine Beach Golf Links in South Korea. Finishing with a total score of 17-under par, Yoshida overcame a four-stroke deficit from the start of the final day, recording an eagle on the second hole and a string of consecutive birdies to take the lead.

With this win, Yoshida earned a prize of $352,500 and saw her world ranking rise from 84th to 47th. She finished ahead of South Korean players Yoo Hee, finishing two strokes ahead of Choi Hye-jin.

In a notable coincidence, Yoshida's sister, Rin Yoshida, also drew attention on the same day by performing the ceremonial first pitch at the Japan Series, marking a significant day for the Yoshida family.
