Yuriko Ishida discusses cast of new WOWOW drama My Sweet Home

Cast members of the upcoming WOWOW drama ‘My Sweet Home’ have released a special discussion video to preview the series. Starring Yuriko Ishida, the production features a prominent ensemble of veteran actors including Tomoko Nakajima, Maki Sakai, Toru Nakamura, Ken Miyake, and Kippei Shiina.

The human drama, written by Yoshikazu Okada and directed by Kentaro Hagiwara, follows three couples approaching their 60s who decide to swap partners for a two-week “trial life.” This experimental living arrangement is prompted by the death of a mutual friend, leading the characters to re-examine their lives and identities.

In the released discussion, Ishida noted the rarity of having such a large gathering of actors from the same generation, admitting to initial nerves. The cast shared insights into the filming process and the themes of adult friendship and self-reflection depicted in the series. The first episode is scheduled for free release on WOWOW’s official YouTube and On Demand platforms starting October 31.
