Yuseong-gu wins Korea City Award for second consecutive year

Yuseong-gu has been selected as an outstanding local government for the second consecutive year at the ‘2026 Korea City Awards,’ receiving the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award. It is the only municipality in the Daejeon and Chungcheong region to achieve this distinction for two years running.

The evaluation, conducted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, assesses 229 local governments based on urban sustainability and living infrastructure. Yuseong-gu received high marks across four key sectors: urban society (disaster safety, social welfare, culture, and sports), urban economy (population and economy), urban environment (residency, environment, and transportation), and support systems (land use management, organizational capacity, planning execution, and resident participation).
