Yusuf Tekin reports tripling of classrooms and teachers in Hakkari

Turkish National Education Minister Yusuf Tekin announced during a visit to Hakkari that the number of classrooms and teachers in the province has tripled since 2002. While the student population in the region grew by only 3 percent, the infrastructure and teaching staff have seen significant expansion under the current administration.

Tekin noted that investments in schools and classrooms since 2002 have reached a current cost of approximately 20 billion lira. During his visit to the Şemdinli district, the Minister met with students and teachers at local primary and middle schools to discuss their needs and listen to local concerns.
