Yutaka Mizutani to attend Tropea Film Festival

The Tropea Film Festival has announced that Japanese actor, director, and producer Yutaka Mizutani will be an official guest at the fourth edition of the festival, held in Tropea, Calabria, from September 20 to 26, 2026.

Mizutani, widely recognized for his role in the television series ‘Aibō’, will present his fourth feature film, ‘Piccola felicità’ (Little Happiness), as the festival’s Special Invited Work on Saturday, September 26. In this production, Mizutani serves as the creator, director, screenwriter, producer, and lead actor. The film follows the lives of three couples across different generations as they navigate pivotal life moments.

The film features a cast including Nobue Ikeya, Nahana, Gamon Kasai, Shuri, and Jun Hashimoto. Notably, the production marks the first time Yutaka Mizutani and his daughter, the actress Shuri, have appeared together in a cinematic work.
