Yuzvendra Chahal recreates viral ‘6-7’ celebration in County Championship

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal recreated the viral ‘6-7’ celebration during a County Championship match for Northamptonshire against Lancashire at Old Trafford in Manchester. Chahal performed the gesture after dismissing Lancashire batter Joe Moores, contributing to a significant victory for Northamptonshire, which defeated Lancashire by 316 runs.

The ‘6-7’ celebration was originally popularized by Delhi leg-spinner Medhavi Bidhuri during the Women’s Delhi Premier League. Bidhuri adopted the gesture after being unable to wear her preferred jersey number 12, leading her to choose number 67 instead. The celebration has since gained social media traction, with Chahal sharing a video of his version online.
