Za poklady Broumovska festival features Valta and Mozart

The Za poklady Broumovska festival is hosting a series of significant musical performances in the Czech Republic. The 21st edition of the international festival concludes with a concert titled ‘Valta vs. Mozart’ at the Church of St. Vojtěch in Broumov. Resident composer Jan Valta, known for his work on the video game Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, will conduct the Hradec Králové Philharmonic and the Kühn Mixed Choir, performing his own suite alongside Mozart’s Requiem.

Other scheduled performances include works by Robert Schumann, Gustav Holst, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, and Max Bruch. Featured soloists include Jan Lisiecki, Mitsuko Uchida, and Itzhak Perlman. The programming also highlights Czech composers such as Bohuslav Martinů, Josef Bohuslav Foerster, and Jan Novák. The festival maintains a charitable focus, supporting the preservation of Baroque churches in the Broumov region.
