Zaanstad residents contest De Pijl housing development

Residents in Zaanstad have filed objections against the ‘De Pijl’ housing project at Noorddijk 100 in Wormerveer. The development, located on the former Brokking site, involves the demolition of an old feed factory to make way for 55 apartments and one studio.

Objectors, represented by attorney Daniëlle Potveer, claim the new plan is significantly taller than originally intended and includes balconies that overlook neighbors' properties. During a recent hearing, residents expressed frustration over incomplete digital dossiers and missing technical drawings, which they claim hindered their ability to prepare for the proceedings. The objections commission noted the lack of clear measurements and missing attachments in the municipal files.
