Zabok General Hospital appoints permanent chaplain
Zabok General Hospital and the Hospital for Croatian Veterans have appointed a permanent chaplain to provide pastoral and spiritual care for patients, their families, and staff. The newly appointed chaplain, Father Ivica Šturlić, was introduced during a meeting between the hospital administration and representatives of the Zagreb Archdiocese.
Previously, pastoral care at the hospital was managed by the Parish of St. Barbara in Bedekovčina. This appointment marks the first time the hospital will have a priest dedicated exclusively to its needs. Hospital director Andreja Filija noted that the hospital is prepared to support high-quality pastoral work, mentioning the facility's chapel dedicated to St. John the Baptist. The role of the chaplain is intended to extend beyond religious rites to include conversation and spiritual support for all members of the hospital community.
