Zacatecan authorities launch tourism training and missing‑persons search operations

Zacatecas government, led by Governor David Monreal Ávila, held a specialized workshop called “Cultura Turística y Progreso” for 60 tourism service providers in the Pueblo Mágico of Jerez. The training addressed cultural identity, visitor care, heritage conservation and the promotion of sustainable tourism experiences, and is part of a broader program to train providers across the state's seven Magical Towns.

In response to requests from families of missing persons from Durango, the state government and the Attorney General’s Office carried out search operations in the municipalities of Pinos, Villa Hidalgo, San José de Lourdes and Fresnillo. The actions involved the local missing‑persons commission, a specialized disappearance‑crime unit and personnel from public security, the National Defense Secretariat and the National Guard.
