Luis R. Conriquez was set to perform at the Feria Nacional de Fresnillo (Fenafre) on August 28. Following the cancellation, the singer stated that his prepared setlist did not include ‘narcocorridos’. The state government has pledged to provide economic support to the municipality of Fresnillo to cover contractual penalties and assist in hiring a replacement artist.

Similarly, the performance of Óscar Maydon at the Feria Nacional de Zacatecas (Fenaza), originally scheduled for September 14, has been canceled. Rodrigo Reyes Mugüerza, the Secretary General of Government, emphasized that the state maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward musical content that exalts criminal activities, aiming instead to promote family coexistence and social fabric strengthening.
