Zacatecas government promotes sustainability in Guadalupe tourism

The Zacatecas state administration, through the Secretariat of Tourism (Secturz), conducted a training course titled “Sustainability in the Destination” for tourism service providers in the Magic Town of Guadalupe.

Directed by Olga Guadalupe Vera Díaz, the session provided 30 participants with tools to implement responsible practices regarding natural, cultural, and economic resources. The initiative aims to ensure resource conservation for future generations while integrating sustainability criteria into service delivery to protect local heritage and support community development. This program is part of the Annual Training Program for the Tourism Sector for 2026, intended to enhance standardization, certification, and competitiveness within the state's tourism offerings.
