Zacatecas Governor honors elderly citizens at coronation ceremony

Governor David Monreal Ávila and the President of SEDIF, Sara Hernández de Monreal, led a ceremony in Zacatecas to honor the state's elderly population. The event featured the Gran Baile and the coronation of the State Queen of the Third Age 2026.

During the ceremony, María Auxilio Salazar was crowned the State Queen, while Magdalena Ulloa and Olivia Reyes were named princesses. Governor Monreal emphasized that caring for older adults is a priority for his administration, announcing the upcoming inauguration of 'Casas del Bienestar' in Jerez and Apozol to provide improved living conditions and support for the elderly.
