Zacatecas housing initiatives advance through local and state programs
In Zacatecas, housing initiatives are being highlighted through both private and state-led efforts. Federal Deputy Noemí Luna Ayala, representing the PAN party, conducted the seventh delivery of the ‘Hogar Digno, Vida Digna’ program. This initiative provides low-income families with household items such as solar heaters, washing machines, stoves, and computers at accessible prices through local private providers.
Separately, President Claudia Sheinbaum reported on state housing goals, noting that 18 homes were recently delivered as part of a broader target to build 27,500 homes in the state, with 30 percent of that goal already achieved.
During a presidential press conference, Sheinbaum also addressed environmental and water policies, including a goal to use 38 percent renewable energy by 2030 and the recovery of 5 billion cubic meters of water through strategic investments.
