Mexico implements regional health, employment, and fiscal transparency initiatives

Mexico is implementing several regional and national initiatives focused on health, employment, and governance. In Chiapas, the national strategy ‘Vive saludable, vive feliz’ is being strengthened ahead of the 2026-2027 school year. This program, supported by the SEP, IMSS, and DIF, aims to promote healthy eating and mental health, having already reached over 10.8 million primary school students across 83,000 schools.

In Veracruz, the STPSP is facilitating job opportunities for youth through employment fairs in Pánuco and Poza Rica, offering over 1,300 vacancies with monthly salaries reaching up to 42,300 pesos. Meanwhile, Zacatecas has made a significant move in fiscal transparency, becoming the first state to allow the Auditoría Superior de la Federación to conduct real-time audits of federalized spending.

Other regional updates include Pachuca’s ‘ColoniaXColonia’ program, which has provided 2,500 citizen services in local neighborhoods, and San Luis Potosí’s efforts to provide school supplies and infrastructure improvements in Las Julias. Additionally, Zacatecas is implementing traffic operations for the Morismas de Bracho festivities, and Oaxaca is supporting a national disarmament campaign to reduce violence.
