Zacatecas National Book Fair 2026 highlights literature and history

The Feria Nacional del Libro Zacatecas 2026 continues with a diverse program featuring literature, philosophy, and historical discussions. Recent activities included artistic presentations for children, such as “Cuentos Vivos de Maita San: Canela & Piloncillo,” designed to engage younger audiences through audiovisual resources.

Academic and editorial sessions highlighted several works, including the philosophical text “De los espíritus de la tierra. Pensar sin Dios” by Sergio Espinosa Proa and the novel “El barco de las contradicciones” by Eduardo Suárez del Real Aguilera. Additionally, a dialogue session focused on the poetics of José de Jesús Sampedro.

Historical heritage was a central theme, with the presentation of “Zacatecas. Origen y destino del Camino Real de Tierra Adentro.” Specialists discussed the importance of this historical route to the cultural identity and memory of Zacatecas. Other historical works presented included “De la Revolución a la reconstrucción,” which examines the formation of the Mexican national state through regional experiences between 1900 and 1929.
