Zacatecas officials and FLSmidth discuss mining modernization

The Zacatecas Secretariat of Economy, the Danish Embassy in Mexico, and the company FLSmidth have held discussions to promote productivity, innovation, and modernization within the state's mining industry.

During the ‘FLS Day Zacatecas’ event, Secretary of Economy Jorge Miranda Castro met with Danish Ambassador Vanessa Vega Sáenz and Mike Wilkins, FLSmidth’s Head of PCV for North America. The forum brought together technical personnel from regional mining companies, including specialists in operations, maintenance, and engineering, to exchange knowledge and technological solutions aimed at increasing production efficiency.

FLSmidth, a Danish firm specializing in mineral processing technology and services, maintains a Mining Service Center in Calera, Zacatecas, which provides technical support to companies in the region and Central America. While the meetings focused on identifying opportunities for collaboration and bringing new technologies to the state's strategic sectors, no formal agreements, specific investment amounts, or timelines were announced.
