Zacatecas residents demand maintenance for neglected Jardín de los Recuerdos cemetery

Families of those buried in the Jardín de los Recuerdos cemetery in Zacatecas, Mexico, are calling for urgent intervention from municipal authorities. The cemetery is currently in a state of neglect, with significant weed growth covering many crypts and spaces.

Citizens have requested that the Zacatecas City Council, specifically the Public Services area, perform cleaning and maintenance work before the Day of the Dead celebrations. During this period, the city's cemeteries receive thousands of visitors, and residents argue that proper maintenance is necessary to ensure dignity for the deceased and ease of access for visiting families.
