Zaccharie Risacher moves to Dallas Mavericks in three‑team NBA trade
French forward Zaccharie Risacher, the 2024 No. 1 draft pick, was dealt by the Atlanta Hawks to the Dallas Mavericks in a three‑team transaction that also involved the Oklahoma City Thunder. Atlanta received guard Lu Dort and forward Ryan Nembhard, while Oklahoma City acquired three future second‑round draft picks and cleared roughly $90 million in salary‑cap space.
The move ends Risacher’s two‑year stint with the Hawks, during which his rookie average of 12.6 points fell to 9.6 points and 3.8 rebounds in his sophomore season. Dallas hopes the young wing can develop as a 3‑and‑D player alongside fellow rookie Cooper Flagg. The trade also provides the Thunder with additional draft assets and financial flexibility for the upcoming offseason.
