Zach Bako-Bewele ruled out for season with knee injury

Green Bay Packers right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele has been ruled out for the remainder of the season following a complete tear of the patellar tendon in his right knee. The injury occurred during a recent victory against the New York Jets.

This marks a recurrence of the same injury that caused a partial tear in the same tendon last season. Bako-Bewele is scheduled for surgery and faces a recovery period estimated between eight and twelve months. While he is expected to be ready for the start of next year's training camp, his availability for the beginning of the next season remains uncertain.

The loss of Bako-Bewele, who recently signed a four-year, $88 million contract extension, significantly impacts the Packers' offensive line. The unit has already faced challenges protecting quarterback Jordan Love and supporting the running game. In his absence, the team has utilized second-year player Anthony Belton at the tackle position.
