Zach Charbonnet cleared to return to Seahawks practice

Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet has been designated to return to practice following an ACL tear suffered during the divisional round of the previous playoffs. His 21-day practice window is now open, allowing the team to move him to the active roster.

Charbonnet is currently ineligible to play in the team’s Week 4 contest against the Los Angeles Chargers due to mandatory time spent on the reserve/PUP list. Head coach Mike Macdonald indicated that the timing of his return to game action will depend on the number of practices required and roster availability. Potential return windows include Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers, Week 6 against the Denver Broncos, or Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The return comes at a critical time for the Seahawks' offense, which has struggled with rushing production. Following the departure of Kenneth Walker III to the Kansas City Chiefs, the backfield has relied on rookie first-round pick Jadarian Price and other backups.
