Zach Edey and Memphis Grizzlies face Sacramento Kings

Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey is set to face the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night as Memphis seeks to maintain an unbeaten start to the season. The matchup features a high-profile battle between Edey and Kings center Domantas Sabonis.

Edey has demonstrated significant early-season impact, recently contributing 10 rebounds and two blocks in a 111-108 road victory against the Golden State Warriors. During that game, Edey recorded a plus-25 plus/minus and was praised by Warriors coach Steve Kerr for his defensive performance during a critical late-game run. Memphis coach Tuomas Iisalo also noted Edey’s athleticism and ability to impact the game against various opponents.

In their recent matchup against the Warriors, an incident occurred involving Edey and Golden State guard Brandin Podziemski. While attempting to defend a cut to the basket, Edey’s arm struck Podziemski in the head, resulting in the guard leaving the game to visit the locker room.
