Zach Mathis provides boost for Edmonton Elks

Edmonton Elks wide receiver Zach Mathis has achieved a rare statistical feat, recording one receiving touchdown and one interception return touchdown. His 48-yard interception return during the Elks' 27-12 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats provided a significant momentum shift, giving Edmonton a 21-6 lead.

Mathis, a six-foot-seven player who also contributes to special teams, has been described by quarterback Cody Fajardo as a ‘glue guy’ for the team. Despite spending time on and off the roster throughout the season, Mathis expressed a desire to increase his offensive impact while remaining willing to support the team in any capacity.
