ZachXBT identifies US-based suspect in $5 million crypto theft network

Blockchain investigator ZachXBT has identified a US-based individual, Tiffany Milanovich, as a key figure in a network responsible for at least $5 million in cryptocurrency thefts. The scheme primarily utilized social engineering, with the suspect allegedly impersonating customer support representatives for various cryptocurrency exchanges and hardware wallet providers.

Specific incidents linked to the investigation include a June 2026 theft where a victim lost $1.2 million in BTC and ETH following a spoofed email, and an October 2025 incident involving a $500,000 loss from a Coinbase account. The investigation highlights how scammers exploit human behavior through deception rather than technical exploits, making the irreversible nature of blockchain transactions a significant risk for victims.

ZachXBT noted that the suspect has reportedly used social media to showcase luxury purchases and gambling funded by stolen assets. The investigation also suggests connections to other threat actors and the use of phishing infrastructure to facilitate these attacks.
