Zack Snyder addresses film controversy and ‘The Fountainhead’ plans

Following the world premiere of his film ‘The Last Photograph’ at the Toronto International Film Festival, director Zack Snyder has addressed both the controversy surrounding his latest work and his future projects.

‘The Last Photograph’, which follows a former DEA agent searching for kidnapped relatives in South America, has faced criticism regarding its depiction of violence against women and children. Snyder defended the film, stating that violence is depicted equally across all demographics and serves to demonstrate that violence is not a solution. He also compared the social media backlash to his previous experience with the film ‘300’.

Additionally, Snyder discussed his long-term goal of adapting Ayn Rand’s ‘The Fountainhead’ into a 12-part limited series. He noted that while previous attempts to pitch the project to companies like Netflix were unsuccessful, he has seen interest from ‘some very powerful, very wealthy people’ and has already written ten of the twelve planned episodes.
