Zack Snyder discusses ‘300’ and potential ‘Dead Samurai’ project

Director Zack Snyder has revisited his 2007 film ‘300’, describing it as “one of the gayest movies ever made.” Speaking to Variety during the Toronto International Film Festival, Snyder addressed the homoerotic themes present in the depiction of Spartan warriors to counter recent online accusations of homophobia following his film ‘The Last Photograph’.

Snyder also shared insights into his future projects, expressing strong interest in adapting the comic ‘Dead Samurai’. He described the concept as a mix of ‘The Road’ and ‘Lone Wolf & Cub’, featuring a zombie apocalypse set in feudal Japan. He noted that he has already begun working on the project, envisioning a visual style involving snowy forests and samurai fighting the undead.
