Zack Snyder discusses homoerotic themes in ‘300’

Director Zack Snyder has addressed the homoerotic tone of his 2006 film ‘300’, describing it as one of the most gay films ever made. Reflecting on the film's reception, Snyder noted that while the depiction of the Battle of Thermopylae was stylized, he intended to embrace that aesthetic.

Snyder also commented on the polarized reactions to his work, suggesting that critics often focus on personal animosity toward him rather than constructive film criticism. He recently presented his new work, ‘The Last Photograph’, at the Toronto International Film Festival.
