Zack Snyder returns to Warner Bros. lot for staff screening

Director Zack Snyder recently returned to the Warner Bros. lot, where he reportedly received a ‘hero’s welcome’ from employees. Snyder was on-site to host a staff screening of the 1981 film ‘Excalibur,’ a movie with thematic ties to his previous work on ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.’

During the event, Snyder participated in a Q&A session with Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group executives Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy. His appearance comes years after a highly publicized and tumultuous split from the studio regarding the ‘Justice League’ production.

Speculation regarding a professional reconciliation is mounting. While the visit was officially for the screening, industry observers suggest a potential collaboration on Snyder’s upcoming remake of ‘Escape From New York.’ Given the recent multi-year agreement between StudioCanal’s parent company, CANAL+, and Warner Bros., there is possibility the project could land at the studio.
