Zadar Airport: British passenger fined after flight disturbance and police assault

A 35-year-old British citizen was fined 1,400 euros and faces criminal charges following a disruptive incident on a flight from Zadar to Birmingham.

According to police, the woman was visibly intoxicated and caused a disturbance by shouting and harassing other passengers. When maritime and airport police from Zadar intervened, she refused to cooperate or undergo alcohol testing. During the intervention, she insulted officers and had to be detained using force.

The situation escalated at the police station, where the woman continued to resist authority and reportedly kicked a female police officer, causing minor injuries. Following a hearing at the Municipal Court in Zadar, she was issued a fine for insolent behavior. Additionally, a criminal report has been filed with the state prosecutor's office for the use of force against an official.
