Zadar City Library to host lecture on Aarhus Convention and environmental rights

Inga Kukolj, a long-time environmental activist and leader of the national Green Phone network, will deliver a lecture titled ‘From Rights to Practice – The Aarhus Convention and the Green Phone’ at the Zadar City Library on September 10, 2026.

The presentation focuses on the Aarhus Convention, an international legal framework for environmental protection ratified by Croatia in 2007. The lecture aims to educate citizens on how to use this tool to defend their right to a healthy environment and participate in decision-making processes.

Organized by the association ‘Eko-Zadar’ as part of the ‘Green Phone’ project, the event will include workshops on creating planting containers and the distribution of seeds for honey-producing flowers, fruits, and vegetables to promote biodiversity.
