Zadar County schools receive 618,000 euros for extracurricular activities

Nine primary schools in Zadar County have been awarded a total of 618,876.40 euros to implement extracurricular activities for the 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 school years. The funding, approved by the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, is supported by the European Social Fund Plus under the Efficient Human Potential Program 2021–2027. These funds aim to prepare students for full-day school programs through various social, innovative, and community-based projects.

Major recipients include Benkovac Primary School, which received 127,896.13 euros for the ‘Playing into the Future’ project, and Valentin Klarin Preko Primary School, which was granted 116,821.21 euros for ‘Island Guardians’. Other funded institutions include schools in Privlaka, Sv. Filip i Jakov, Neviđane, Nin, Polača, and Pag. The projects focus on themes such as STEM, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and volunteering.
