Zadar County to increase medical transport teams to 22
The Zadar County Assembly has approved a proposal to expand the emergency medicine and medical transport network. This change will increase the number of medical transport teams in the county from 21 to 22.
The proposal, initiated by the Croatian Institute for Emergency Medicine, follows a directive from the Ministry of Health to seek opinions from regional self-government bodies. County Prefect Josip Bilaver stated that the additional team is intended to improve healthcare access across the region’s challenging geography, which includes islands and remote settlements.
This expansion is part of a broader national effort to strengthen medical transport systems across several other counties in Croatia.
